Rokosjøencamping is a small family campsite in quiet surroundings and beautiful natureby Rokosjøen in Løten municipality right next to the municipal bathing beach inHaverbekkvika. Rokoberget and the Rondane trail are located next to thecampsite.
The area offers a lot of birds, paddling on the lake, nice hiking trails in the forestand lots of mushrooms and berries in season. Cultural monuments withinwalking/biking/driving distance and approx. 8 km. to the center of Løten. GoodWi-Fi.
We offer campsites on an annual basis, seasonal basis, as well as drop-in. The campsiteis open all year round and has been since 1964.
We have cabins without running water with 2 to 5 beds.
We havebrand new sanitary facilities with washing up facilities, disabled and familybathrooms, washing machine and dryer etc. Empty station for portable toilet.
Sharedkitchen/living room is under construction.
Dogs arewelcome if they are leached and if you pick up after them.
In highseason (summer) we have an open cafe with ice cream, soft drinks, home-bakedcakes, freshly baked waffles, pizza and some simple meals. We also offerfreshly baked bread rolls for breakfast, which you can order the day before.
We have alicense to serve alcohol, in all categories.
We rent out Sauna all year round, with place for 6 people and have an open hole in the icein winter so you can try ice bathing.
We have asmall playground, Frisbee golf (3 baskets) and a badminton court etc. You can rent/buy equipment at reception.
We rent outrowing boats and canoes. We recommend paddling into Lake Vesle (litle)Rokosjøen. It is a nature reserve with lots of birds and other wild animals.
There is a beach, beach volleyball court, bonfire and shared barbecue at Haverbekkvika, 500 meters away.
We rent outa room for meetings and parties with space for up to 100 people.
During thewinter season, it is popular with saunas and ice bathing, ice fishing and kilometresof both skiing and skating are available when the conditions permit.
The area isexcellent for snowshoeing, and we offer guided snowshoeing in the winterseason. You can rent snowshoes from us.

About us
The campsite is about 20 hectares in quiet surroundings with beautiful nature and nice hiking trails, by Rokosjøen lake in Løten municipality. We are a small family business - run by the couple Sævar Hansson and Valdis Brynjolfsdottir from Iceland. We are new owners from the spring of 2019 and are working on upgrading / renovating the entire campsite. Something is finished and something is under construction. In the immediate vicinity is the public lake shore Haverbekkvika, church ruins on Rokoberget from the 13th century and Evenstenen, a huge moving block, possibly the largest in Hedmark, which was brought here with the ice during the last ice age. Along the campsite lies Rondanestien, a hiking road which stretches from Bjørvika in Oslo to Hjerkinn in Dovre. The local area offers good cycling excursions and in season it is ideal to pick both berries and mushrooms. The village of Løten is only 8 minutes away by car, where you will find grocery stores, pharmacy, liquor store, restaurants, bank, trainstation and clothing store etc.
We have drop-in spots for motorhomes / caravans / tents as well as seasonal and year-round spots. We have cabins without running water not far from the sanitary facility. The sanitary facility is new from the summer of 2020.
We run a café with a license to serve drinks, where we serve home-baked cakes, open sandwiches, pizza, ice cream, soft drinks and sweets etc. in the summer season and by appointment. WiFi in and around the main building.
We rent rowing boats and canoes and there are good fishing opportunities in the lake as well as ice fishing in the winter. Fishing is free in Rokosjøen.
We have a playground and on the municipal beach next door, there is a beach volleyball field for free use for all guests. We rent out party halls to private parties. We are only an hour's drive from Oslo Airport (Gardermoen),an hour and a half from Oslo city and Charlottenberg in Sweden, and about twenty minutes from Hamar and Elverum. The campsite is open all year round and has been since 1964. With us you can recharge your batteries, eat good food and experience nature and tranquility.

Vi dro spontant dit på kvelden og operatøren var superhyggelig. Fikk en fin parkeringsplass ved sjøen. Sanitærfasilitetene var virkelig rene og ryddige. Virkelig god valuta for pengene.

Fantastisk innsjø og fantastisk område. Stille og avslappende, akkurat det vi lette etter. Planlagt som et mellomlanding etter Trondheim, ble det et høydepunkt på turen vår.
