The forest surrounding the camping is quite incredible and ideal for picking berries and mushroom, as well as hiking (short and longer) and meditation.

Hiking trails in the area

Mosjømarka – a lovely hike with a lot of open forest, swamps and ponds. Centrally located in the area and contains a rich history, and therefore the trails are quite old, and you can find several information boards along the route explaining some of the history. It is approximately one and a half hour away from the camping by foot, you can also get there by a car or a bike.

In closer proximity you can locate the Oset Chapel – for more information visit https://www.norske-kirker.net/home/hedmark/oset-kapell/

About an hour walk from the camping you can also locate Rokoberget with hiking trails leading you the entire way – once there you should have a look at the old church ruins dating all the way back to 1254. For more information visit https://www.norske-kirker.net/home/hedmark/rokoberget-kirkeruin/

From Rokoberget you have a pretty spectacular view over Rokosjøen (Roko lake) – a lake rich of pike and perch fish, as well as some smaller fish. Very suitable for fishing and we have rowing boats and life jackets available for rent.

If you rather want to go for a swim, Haverbekkvika, the public lake beach is only five minutes away by foot. It has been very well taken care of and has several facilities open to guests, and is very suitable for the disabled and children. It also has a beach volleyball field and a barbeque spot.
